Gîte Les Trois Voisins

Les Trois Voisins is a lovely place to get away from it all. The welcome is friendly and the food is great. I'd happily recommend staying here if you want to explore the Ardennes region.

We had a confirmed reservation and were due to check in at 8:00 PM. A severe, unexpected traffic jam on Friday evening delayed us, so at 7:15 PM we told the owner we'd be about an hour late and should arrive by 9:00 PM. At 7:30 PM, the owner replied that he wouldn't accommodate us and told us to find somewhere else, even though our group included 16 people and children. Right after that, he stopped answering all our calls and messages. When we got to the property, nobody was there to let us in. We waited outside in the cold with the children until nearly 11:00 PM. Neighbors tried to help, and we eventually contacted local police, who also couldn't reach the owner. The listing never clearly said that arriving after 8:00 PM would count as a no-show or lead to cancellation without accommodation, especially for an unavoidable delay. We had to find last-minute lodging late at night for a large group, causing serious distress, financial loss, and safety concerns. We still haven't received a refund. The neighbors and law enforcement also expressed concern about this individual, which added to our worries about trust and safety. This showed gross negligence, a lack of responsibility, and complete disregard for guest safety and basic hospitality standards.

We stayed one night as a couple. It was okay, but the room was basic, and there was no soap or shower gel. The cleaning wasn't impressive either. Breakfast was home-style, though nothing special. It's quiet, apart from some roosters singing in the morning.

Always warm, friendly, and cozy.
