City Housing Genk

The room was great, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. But not being able to reach them by phone isn't acceptable, and neither is the lack of a coffee machine.

We booked in advance, but our stay was suddenly cancelled because of overbooking just one week beforehand. I also lost my 15% Genius reduction because of it. From what I've seen, this isn't the first time they've done this.

I'd booked months ahead, but less than two weeks before my stay they cancelled, saying they were overbooked. It looks like they knew they could charge someone else more because of a nearby event. Other reviews suggest this has happened before. Now I have to cancel my trip and lose money on flights, transfers and event tickets. Don't book here.

We came with a group for a long weekend in May. The rooms have a modern renovated look, with polished concrete floors and white walls. There's a small kitchen with coffee, tea and a water bottle that was refilled daily. Outside, the tables and chairs make a cozy place for breakfast or coffee. You can park for free in the nearby C-mine underground parking, and a street with lots of restaurants is just a couple of minutes away. Breakfast baskets are available if ordered, or you can book a delicious breakfast at Ortaya on the premises. The shower and beds were good, and there was enough closet and shelf space for our things. A nice touch was the wireless phone charging station right by the bed. A perfect place to stay with friends and other couples 👌🏻
