The two hosts were so welcoming, and they put together a generous breakfast. Their two sweet Maine Coone cats were lovely company, too. The apartment is small and charming, with a pleasant terrace. Just be aware that the bathroom ceiling is quite low.

A bus stop right outside makes getting around easy, and Gent Centrum is about 20 minutes away. There’s also a little Carrefour Market next door. The house has a lovely garden, stylish rooms and two sweet cats. The owners were really friendly and helpful, and there’s a small, well-equipped kitchen if you want to cook. A private, cozy place to stay in Gent.

Great value for the price, with a wonderful host. If it’s available, ask for the garden room, which includes part of a converted hothouse. We loved the place.

It’s easy to get into the city from here: the bus stops right outside, though walking to the center is also an option. A great place to stay, and the host was friendly.
