NH Collection Gent

Sayeda at the restaurant made breakfast especially welcoming each morning. She was attentive, helpful, and gave us useful tips on shops, places to eat, getting around, and things to see. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was great. Breakfast was good too, and there were snacks and naturally flavored water at reception. We could get beverage vouchers by opting out of room cleaning.

The stay felt easy from start to finish. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and everything in between went without a hitch. I was upgraded to a suite with a lovely city view, especially at night, and there was a dessert waiting in my room for my birthday. A small gesture, but a really thoughtful one. The team had been clear and helpful from the time I booked, and Giles stood out for how much care and pride he put into his work. Every conversation felt personal. I had a fantastic stay at NH Collection Gent and would happily recommend it.

Breakfast had a great range, including things made to order, and our four-year-old was very happy with the pancakes. The staff were lovely with our little one, especially the manager, we assume, and the people serving breakfast and working in the bar the evening before. The lobby is bright and inviting, and our room felt fresh, spacious, and clean. It’s in a perfect spot, and we’d absolutely recommend the hotel.

The bar team deserves a mention, especially Rad. The food was nice and the portions generous. This is a comfortable, well finished hotel in central Ghent, close to the historic centre, with friendly staff. The furnishings and bathrooms are high quality throughout.
