The apartments are nice, but the management and cleaning staff made the stay a bad one. Guests are entirely responsible for the final cleaning. We saw the apartment and hotel cleaning staff washing the floor rags in the guest laundry room on the ground floor, in the same washers and dryers guests use for their clothes. When we raised this with the apartments’ director, he had the nerve to ask us to apologize to the cleaning staff because they felt offended after we caught them doing it. There was also a sofa full of insects, covered with dirty sheets and put in quarantine inside the flat by the cleaning staff.

After 11 days, my partner and baby had a lot of rashes, and we found bed bugs. Fortunately, Skylineflats arranged a new room for us in another hotel. The first apartment hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, so we were moved to another one that was also not particularly clean. Dirt was left in the corners, under the beds and on the balcony. We asked four times for a babybed, by email and in person, but never got it. We were told the room would be cleaned after a week, but it took 9 days, and then they only changed the towels. Good cleaning should catch bed bugs. I wouldn’t have chosen this place if I’d read more reviews on booking.com, where many people report poor room cleanliness. I don’t recommend it.

Someone entered our apartment without warning the day after we arrived. The receptionist said housekeeping was allowed to come in at any time, which left us very uneasy about our privacy, especially given the premium price. There was no cleaning service during our stay, so their right to enter whenever they wanted felt inconsistent and baffling. Calling reception was useless, and we had to go downstairs in person whenever we needed help. The €300 deposit also seemed excessive. There were other problems from the start. It was hard to find the entrance late at night because there was no clear signage, and although reception staff were friendly, they were frustratingly slow. At check-in we got a list of rules, including a requirement to clean the floors before leaving, which seemed like an odd expectation for a rental. I’d requested a crib when booking, but the one they gave us was broken and potentially unsafe for my child. I can’t recommend this place, and don’t plan to return.

A beautiful view, great amenities and a top location. It felt like a home away from home.
