Sparrows Nest

The location worked perfectly for me since I like walking instead of taking transport, so I could see as much as possible. I had a really happy stay, with a warm welcome and lots of support. The room was better than I expected. Thanks for such a wonderful, accommodating stay.

The room was very noisy because it was right over the highway and a busy bus stop, and getting there meant hauling luggage up three steep wooden flights of stairs. When I arrived, I was told they expected only one guest, but the host said it didn’t matter. The next day I showed proof that the reservation was for a maximum of two, not one. Then, only as I was leaving, linda insisted I pay an extra €50. I’d had the same problem before, but that time I was told before check-in that the rate had gone up. I felt it was very unfair that she hadn’t been upfront with me, since I had better options.

Superb.

We really enjoyed our stay ❤️ We’d booked well ahead because of the Ghent Festivities, and communicating with Linda was great. We discussed parking and check-in beforehand, and were allowed to drop off our luggage early. Linda was kind and helpful. The rooms were fine and spacious enough, though the toilet in ours was very small. The beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent.
