Breakfast was perfectly fine: bread rolls and pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, ham, cheese and yogurt came to the table, with coffee or tea. Cereals, jam, honey and chocolate spread were on the buffet. The room had everything for making coffee and tea and was spacious, but there was no air conditioning. The shower was mediocre, really more of a bathtub, and the drain was very slow. We arrived two hours before check-in and asked about checking in early or leaving our bags. The woman said early check-in wasn't possible before 15:00, but we could store the luggage. When we came back from the car with it, we were told we could check in after all. It turned out later that we were the hotel's only guests. Service was fine when someone was there. The bar and lounge were closed, as was the pizzeria. A note for other travellers: this wasn't the hotel's fault, but everything nearby closes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We walked 45 minutes to the nearest town and even there, everything was shut except a market. The price didn't match the experience, and we didn't feel we got value for money.

There isn't any food at the hotel, and nowhere in the village to get dinner either. The booking information doesn't mention that. The nearest restaurant or supermarket is 5 or 6 km away, so be prepared.

The room was fine, but there was no air conditioning or fan. Getting in touch was frustrating: no staff seemed to speak English or Dutch, and when I did my best in French, the woman on the phone eventually hung up. My email also got no reply. Luckily, another man was able to let us in when we arrived.
