B&B Hedera

We slept so peacefully, the room was quiet and comfortable. The property is well kept and close to Enghein and Herne downtown, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Jo and Nicole were kind, attentive hosts, and breakfast was great too. We came to Hedera B&B for a quick weekend in the area and would happily come back.

We felt really uncomfortable after the second night. The first night, my wife and I shared a beer from the host's honesty bar, and he was friendly and chatted with us. The next night we drank a beer from the local shop and used two of his beer glasses. When he came out to say hello, he growled at us and said he'd charge 2 euros per glass. We offered to wash them, as we were already planning to, but he said he didn't want us messing up his bench space. We hadn't realized the glasses were such a big deal. After that it was awkward, especially with him hovering around the common area while cleaning up. At breakfast the next day he didn't offer eggs and bacon like he had the day before. I don't know if it was connected, but that's how we took it. We avoided him and left 5 euros to cover the glasses. I've never felt so unwelcome at a B&B.

We were very comfortable here, and the rooms are spacious with really comfortable beds. Nicole and Jo clearly put a lot of heart into looking after their guests. Nothing was missing, and we'll gladly come back. Thanks so much for making us feel at ease. - Jacob

The garden is amazing, and there’s a swimming pool too. Our room was excellent, and the hosts were very friendly and nice.
