We paid the deposit when we booked this accommodation a year ago. In the last few weeks, we emailed several times to ask for more information but got little to no reply. Then, just two days before we were due to arrive, we suddenly heard the place was overbooked. Very strange. If you want to be sure of a nice holiday or weekend, don't book here.
We booked for the family almost a year ahead, received confirmation and paid the deposit. About three weeks before arrival, an email came with the remaining payment and check-in details. After I pressed for a response, I was told, “We'll get back to you soon.” Everyone in our group of 15 was looking forward to the trip, then two days before we were due to arrive, we got a call saying there had been a double booking and we were out of luck. The deposit was refunded quickly and there were apologies, but that doesn't help. At such short notice, I can only find something else during the autumn holidays. Very sloppy, and I think they could and should have told us much sooner. If you want to be sure of a great time, book here!
The breakfasts were amazing, and the B&B was clean and smelled lovely. The couple running the place were fantastic and gave us local tour recommendations that went beyond what we expected. Such a beautiful spot and such a spectacular welcome. 10 stars out of 5, go there!
