Lofts in town

The private spa was lovely, but the walls could use some freshening up, with lots of damp and mold stains. There wasn’t anything to pass the time, such as billiards or darts. As for the €250 "premium romantic" option, I’d avoid it. It was just fake rose petals on the floor, fake candles everywhere, a bottle of sparkling wine, and chocolates. I didn’t get the promised "wow" factor. For €250, it should feel like a wow.

The extractor fan kept making noise all night, so we couldn't sleep. There were cobwebs everywhere, the hot tub wasn't working properly, and the rainbow shower was so clogged with limescale that barely any water came out. It was meant to be a relaxing evening, but it really didn't go as we'd hoped. The toilet wasn't clean either.

We slept so well in those comfortable beds, and the place itself was really cozy and peaceful. Dinner and breakfast were great, and we loved the jacuzzi and sauna. Such a warm welcome, too. A lovely spot for an evening to recharge. Thanks for everything! 😁

The town center of Huy and the cable car up to the fort make a nice short trip from the loft. We had a great time and found the amenities generally good for the price, but there were some pretty shocking problems. The dishwasher was filthy and made the kitchen smell bad even when it was closed. Under the mattress we found rubbish left by previous guests, including a condom wrapper and a candy wrapper. That dirt was still there when we left, and I imagine some guests might have walked out straight away. The hostess was kind and helpful when we spoke to her about the pool and the problems. We got breakfast even though we hadn't expected it, plus cookies and sparkling wine, and some improvements were made. Eventually, at least one kitchen window could be opened. I'm torn about recommending the accommodation. I'd only suggest staying if you get a guarantee in advance that the issues will be fixed.
