The gardens are beautifully kept and the whole place is so peaceful. Our room was clean, breakfast was superb, and the owners were very helpful. Highly recommend this B&B.

The garden is so well looked after, and the B&B sits in a lovely rural spot. Inside, the rooms were clean and cozy, with a rustic feel, and breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. The owners are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the hospitality made us feel thoroughly pampered. I'd give it six stars if I could. We'll definitely come back!

We were charged €25 for supposedly checking in early and another €25 for leaving late. That was a nasty surprise, and it hardly felt hospitable. They won't see us again. We'd booked one night at B&B De Hulst last summer, with plans to go to the Kamping Kitsch festival in Kortrijk on Saturday and attend a BBQ in Tielt the next day. Since the festival began at noon but check-in officially started at 4 p.m., we asked when would suit them, Saturday morning or after the festival in the middle of the night. We got no reply. We showed up at about 11 a.m. to leave our bags and find out how we'd get into the room that night. The hostess was away, and only her husband was there. We said that was fine. It would've been handy to use a restroom or mirror to do makeup, but we figured we could manage in the car. He insisted on calling his wife anyway. When she arrived, she explained that the room wasn't ready. We told her again that was no problem, since we wouldn't need it until the middle of the night. Eventually, we were allowed to check in briefly, drop our luggage, and head to the festival. At breakfast the next morning, other guests said they'd stayed at B&B De Hulst before. We weren't sure when checkout was, so we asked them. They thought it probably wouldn't matter, since it was Sunday and the room was unlikely to be needed right away. We didn't have to be in Tielt until noon and didn't want to arrive half an hour early, so we left at 11:30. Apparently, that was 30 minutes past the official checkout time.
