Auberge St. Pol

We loved the relaxed feel of the area, the beaches, and walks along the seafront. Bikes were everywhere, and the easy-to-follow cycle paths made getting around simple. The location suited us perfectly, and all the staff were lovely and happy to help. Breakfast was amazing, and the outside seating area was comfortable and well equipped. There was also a snack and drinks machine with cider, beer and wine, plus a shoe-shining machine, a nice touch I'd never seen before. The decor was lovely, with some beautiful painted birds. We couldn't fault the stay, but ran out of time to explore more. Holland was close, and we would have liked to cycle over for a look. We'd definitely return.

We chose this hotel because we had an event nearby, and the location worked well. The area was lovely too, with lots to do close by. Everything was spotless, and the room was comfortable and well equipped. I would've liked a fridge in the room, but that's a small thing. Breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend the scrambled eggs with tomatoes and bacon, and there's a generously stocked cold buffet too. After racing an Ironman, I made good use of it.

A lovely village, an easy drive from Brugge and close to the nature forest.

The welcome was very warm, and they explained all the practical details. Hotel St Pol is close to the Nature Parc 'Het Zwin', a great spot for a long walk away from the crowds or a run, as most of the roads are paved. It's a little farther from the sea, but walking through the residential area was fine and still very doable. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice in a cosy space. The room was comfortable and had a small private outdoor area. Parking was very reasonably priced for this area. Really good value for the quality.
