Hoeve Hazegras

We shared a four-person apartment with family. The quiet setting was relaxing, and it’s a beautiful spot in nature, close to Zwin Reserve and Bruges. There are bike rentals, so it works well for cycling, and there’s good food and culture nearby. Room sizes differ, with some spacious and others compact. There are two EV charging stations. A few things could be better: the TV made it awkward to move around the bed, and the bathroom and toilet had no lock, so we had to use a code word. The bathroom in “Vrede” also drained poorly and overflowed. Still, it was a lovely stay with a few small issues.

The garden views made our stay feel complete, and free parking was a real plus. We also liked having the option to charge electric cars. The location is great, near Knokke- Heist and Knokke Casino. We'll be back!

Our room didn't have its own toilet or bathroom, which hadn't been mentioned when I booked. The bathroom was across the corridor. To use the toilet at night, I'd have to get dressed, since there were no bathrobes, or risk going naked and hope nobody from the next room came out or returned. Although it was described as private, the bathroom couldn't be locked, so anyone could use it. We couldn't leave our things there either. Getting there was strange too. We arrived after six in the evening and couldn't see any hotel sign or reception, and it was completely dark outside. Luckily, we ran into a guest who pointed us toward the reception. It was closed, but there was a phone number, and we were guided to our rooms over the phone. The walls between rooms were very thin, so we could hear people in the next room talking and laughing.

Everything went smoothly, and Soetkin was a lovely host. The venue is great, in a fabulous location and equipped with what you need for hosting big groups.
