De Peerdevisser

The place is very clean and well run, with a basic room and a comfortable bed. I’d like at least a rudimentary kitchen to use, and a few more power points would be good. That seems to be standard in Belgium.

I stayed with my daughter for the Rammstein concert Oostende, and the location worked well for the venue. It’s a basic hostel, but clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave me a map for parking, and I don’t think I’d have found it without their help. Breakfast is included and was a good continental spread. The room was basic, with sheets provided, but you make your own bed and strip it afterwards. There’s no room service, which was fine with me. The residential area is quiet, and I’d love to come back and explore it more. Sorry I didn’t take photos, but what you see on the booking site is what you get. Thanks to the staff for all your help!

The bedrooms and hostel were clean, and the hospitality and service were very good. The staff were kind, and they were happy to accommodate an extra request for French cheese and toast. Thanks, and see you next time. Warm regards, Tim the Mountain traveler

A 12-minute walk gets you to the sea, and parking is free. There’s a playground and a football field without grass for younger children. Each room has 2-6 beds, plus its own toilet and bathroom. The rooms were almost clean, though there was sand on the floor. The food is traditional, with a great kitchen, and vegetarian options too. Night noise depends on the other guests. There’s also a bar in the evening serving the one and only "Peerdevisser" beer.
