The room was so cramped that I sometimes nearly walked into the TV. Its temperature was the biggest issue for me. In January, I couldn't believe I had to use the air conditioning, and it seems other Google reviewers have complained about the same thing. The air conditioning setup was frustrating too. The duct was held up with gaffa tape that you had to stick in place yourself, but it quickly stopped sticking, so I had to improvise. The instructions said to set a timer before using the air conditioning, and I spent ages trying to find that setting on the remote. There is a separate timer switch in the corner of the room, which the instructions should have made clear. It only runs for up to two hours, so if the air conditioning stops during the night, you have to get up and switch it on again or sweat all night. The bathroom was roomy, but it only had a handheld shower head over the bath, so there was no way to stand for a shower. At breakfast, the coffee machine was good, but the scrambled eggs were mushy. You could boil eggs yourself, but who has time for that? There were some positives: plenty of free parking, friendly staff, and the room was cleaned quickly and to a good standard. Still, I really didn't like staying here and won't return.
The beds were comfortable, the hotel was clean, and there was parking. The staff were friendly too. We were there for four days around New Year to see two CX races, but couldn't get an evening meal. The restaurant was closed on two nights and fully booked on the other two. I think they should have told us about the closure when we booked.
It was clean, and the rooms felt small but cozy. The temperature was warm, not cold, and I can imagine it might get too hot in summer. Breakfast was simple but good enough, and dogs are allowed. We only stayed one night, so we didn't use the swimming pool. The low toilets could be difficult for people with disabilities. The staff spoke fluent French with us.
The restaurant was a good experience, and the food was good. I liked the swimming pool too, though the changing rooms are too small for someone using a wheelchair. The sauna was cold, and you have to go back to reception in your bathing suit to ask them to turn it on. I had a large, great room, but there were no disability aids in the bathroom, and the shower head was set too high every day. The hotel was nice and I had a great stay overall, though I think it could do more for disabled guests. As a wheelchair user, I had to come in through the back door, reception wasn't accessible, and while there is parking, there are no PMR spaces. Breakfast was good, but watch the step between the buffet and the tables.
After an afternoon exploring Koksijde, the swimming pool was a lovely place to unwind. Breakfast was really good, with fresh orange juice available. It's a nice weekend spot, though the rooms are quite small and the hotel is starting to feel a little old.
