The kids liked the pool and playground, and the restaurant food was okay. But our bathroom in the four-bedroom white house looked clean and still smelled like sewage, leaving the whole bedroom stinky. The poor cleanliness means I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The location is great, and the outdoor playground is well maintained. Inside was a different story: the house was dusty, the toilets weren't properly cleaned, and the indoor playground looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months or years. The pool also raised serious hygiene concerns, with dirt in the changing rooms and mould in the toddler pool. There wasn't any soap in the restaurant. When I asked, they refilled only the women's bathroom, not the men's. Disappointing.

The children had a great time in the pool and playground, and the staff were kind and helpful. When our coffee machine didn't work, they replaced it very quickly. The bungalows were the problem: there was so much dust, especially beneath the beds and sofa, the blankets smelled, and the beds were really uncomfortable 😳. We came home a day early just to get a good night's sleep 💤

It's a lovely, picturesque spot on the edge of Zutendaal. The site itself doesn't have much to do unless you're there with young kids, up to about 12, so I'd suggest exploring the nearby sights. The pool has five slides, all for toddlers. The cafe/bar is open from 12 to 9, and the park shop is overpriced. A good place to bring young children.
