I liked how private the room felt, and the manager was a nice guy. The room itself was really nice too.

The evening meal was lovely, and the daily three-course menu was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a small family-run hotel and restaurant, with very modern rooms, though you can hear noise from the street.

A month before our visit, the hotel messaged to say the two rooms we'd booked for two nights were no longer available and had been cancelled. We'd received confirmation many months earlier. They then offered an alternative that was much more expensive. Be warned, a confirmed booking at Au Prince Royal' may still not be guaranteed.

The old, genuine tavern alongside the new modern rooms makes for a lovely mix of old and new. Staff were very friendly, and the prices were very reasonable.

The location, comfort, and facilities all worked perfectly for me. A great place to stay.
