Rve de Luxe

The rooms have a distinctive design, with thoughtful decor, luxurious touches, and everything kept beautifully clean and in good shape. That attention to detail made the whole place feel opulent and left me smiling. The management made me feel at home and lived up to the five stars shown when I booked. It’s also in a good location. I can’t recommend it enough.

The host was a friendly man, while the hostess is a descendant of Kenau Simonsdochter Hasselaar. The bathroom and toilet felt like a setup for exhibitionists, with so little privacy. Breakfast was fine, but be careful with a glass: Kenau was ready at the ATM with what felt like a pistol, charging an extra €100 to clean the curtains. The invoice says, “When service comes from the heart, it’s not about standards, it’s a way of life.” I honestly wonder whether the owners speak English.

A lovely overnight stay, with a clean, tidy room and stylish decor full of beautiful original details. Breakfast came with a little treat, and classical music made waking up especially nice.

So much luxury, with beautiful decor and great hosts.
