The owners were easy to reach and answered questions right away. The holiday home is beautifully maintained and makes a great base for walks and bike rides. The only small thing is that the dartboard could use replacing, though that’s really just nitpicking.

We’ve been cycling together for years, and this time the seven of us, all over 60, headed to Lommel and the Sahara 119 apartment. The online photos looked promising, but the apartment, its outdoor space, and the bike storage still exceeded what we expected. Seven bikes fit easily, with charging facilities too. We got a warm welcome and a thorough tour with all the explanations we needed. Inside, there’s plenty of space, a big kitchen, rooms and bathrooms that were all great, and lots of room outside as well. The nearby bakery has everything you could want. We’ve ridden in plenty of places, but the routes in and around Lommel were truly special. In the forests, 90 percent of the paths are marked for cycling, with smooth asphalt, and run alongside hiking paths. The treetop walkway is the highlight, and cycling through the trees is a must. Lommel itself is a lovely little town. From May to September there’s a town festival on Sundays, and on Wednesdays a classic car gathering with music and all the trimmings. There are plenty of food options at reasonable prices, and the beers taste fantastic. Booking Sahara 119 is a safe bet for a wonderful stay. Thanks again, Tinne and Jelle, for a great week. Peter

The owners were friendly and easy to reach, and the house was great value for the price. Every room was clean and comfortable, with bedrooms that had enough space. The covered terrace was useful when it rained. Highly recommended!

The eight of us had a fantastic holiday in Jelle and Tinne’s beautiful, practical house. We got all the key information quickly, went on lovely walks nearby, and enjoyed the made beds, fresh towels, rain showers, and cozy outdoor lounge. Finding a bottle of wine on arrival made us feel especially welcome. Nothing to complain about, only good things to recommend!
