The biggest annoyance for me was the toilet paper, which came as individual sheets from a dispenser instead of rolls. Breakfast was better than average, though both scrambled egg trays were empty, and the cheese selection amounted to a few slices and some wrapped Brie. The hotel is in a quiet, green spot, about a five-minute walk from the city center, with plenty of parking. The bar had one of the best beers I've ever had, and the window blinds kept out all the light. A very decent place overall.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I liked the hotel's location. Breakfast was simple but neat. My bed was both saggy and hard, and there was no kettle for making coffee or tea. The bath's non-slip coating had worn away. Then a rubbish truck came to empty the bottle bank at 5 a.m., and everyone was awake. Fine if your expectations are low.

We had a good weekend stay, and our dog was allowed to come along, though there was an extra charge. The green surroundings and huge open-air parking area were nice, and the place was very clean. Check-in and check-out were quick, and some of the team were really nice. The room key card glitched twice. Staff helped, but it was annoying, especially since we didn't keep the card with keys or anything magnetic. There was only multipurpose soap, no shampoo, plus an unfurnished balcony and just one proper chair inside. The TV couldn't cast.

After breakfast, heading out for a walk in the forest was amazing. I really liked the hotel, and this was my second time booking it while visiting Viller Abbey. The rooms were lovely and cozy, and breakfast was a decent buffet.
