Cleythil Hotel

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh options, and we enjoyed the thoughtfully designed outdoor areas too. The owner and staff were so welcoming and helpful with everything. They even surprised me with a special birthday touch, which made our weekend extra memorable. We came to celebrate my birthday with our 6- and 4-year-old and stayed in the family room. It worked perfectly, with its lovely two-floor layout and separate spaces for the kids and for us. The whole property feels well planned, including the game room where we played board games and kept the kids entertained. It was an amazing stay, and I can't recommend the place enough. Fantastic for families and couples alike. We'll definitely be back.

Elizabeth at the front desk was an absolute star. She showed me to my room, explained the air conditioning, and filled me in on restaurant hours and food options. When she learned I was from India and preferred vegetarian food, she went out of her way to arrange a delicious vegetarian dish. I really appreciated that care and attention. After a long train ride from Amsterdam and finding all the nearby restaurants closed in Aalter, arriving at Cleythil Hotel felt like stepping into a haven. The hotel was spotless and welcoming, and the warm reception made all the difference. The beautiful property and exceptional service made it feel like a five-star stay. I'd gladly return, and highly recommend it.

We only spent one night here, but enjoyed it a lot. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the reception lady was cheerful, and the hotel is lovely and quiet, with green surroundings. Breakfast cost us €39 for two people and was good value. We especially liked the tea, along with the broad choice of cold cuts, fruit, and bread.

The owners were pleasant and friendly, and ready to help with any questions. We didn't try the restaurant, so maybe next time. A very nice hotel, comfortable and clean, and well worth a visit.
