Large Group House with Welness Equipment & Swimming Pool near Malmédy

We came to see Malmedy and the surrounding area as a group of 6 adults and 7 children aged 4-10. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including gluten-free and lactose-free options, and it was good. The staff were friendly and attentive, and our rooms were clean with modern bathroom equipment.

The buffet has a good spread, with soup, a salad bar, the main dish of the day, and dessert. Rooms are clean and pleasant, each with its own shower and toilet, though those facilities aren’t really made for bigger people. It’s a youth hostel geared toward children and young people. Staff were very friendly, and everything felt clean and complete. There’s a cosy bar with a pool table and lounge, plus a sports field and a proper climbing tower outside. Other activities mean a bit of a walk.

There’s a cycling path that goes almost all the way from Malmedy to the hostel. It’s a great stop for cyclists, with covered, locked bike storage and the option to reserve dinner on site. The living room is comfy and has a nice fireplace, the rooms are good, and the staff are lovely. I was very happy with my stay!

Breakfast was good, and you can help yourself. The hostel has all the facilities needed for large camps or sports groups. Rooms are quite spacious, though they have the feel of summer or sports camp accommodation. It’s in a great location with very good access and close to the Ardennes. A great choice for travelers and visitors.
