VixX Suites

I've stayed here twice already and will definitely come back. The rooms are lovely and always clean, right in the heart of Mechelen, with restaurants, shopping, and Grote Market only a short walk away. The owners and staff are all kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

The location is brilliant, and parking is free if you book through VixX own website. Booking was straightforward and the hotel provided really good information. The rooms are spacious and well designed, and the bathroom was nice, though it could use a little TLC. Breakfast was still in corona mode, served in a nice basket to eat in the room.

Mechelen was a peaceful little treasure between Brussels and Antwerp, with shops and attractions but none of the crowds or bad tourist behavior. The hotel was great too, with a wonderful location and staff. We stayed a few nights as a large group, and they had enough towels and the extra beds were already set up. The room description was accurate, there was plenty of space, and the kitchen worked well for simple meals or reheating leftovers. The bathroom was spectacular, with a fun, stylish sink and shower. We all enjoyed the Philips led lighting, a nice extra touch. Nearly everything could be handled remotely or contactlessly, and cleanliness was superb.

The location is great, the decor is nice, and the automated check-in and checkout worked well. I wanted to rate the suite higher, but it wasn't especially clean and had a few things that needed fixing. There was hair blocking the bathroom sink and more hair on the floor, plus a dirty mark on the side table. The toilet roll holder was loose, there were coffee stains on the sofa, and the door paint was scratched.
