Reception staff were welcoming and professional, and I enjoyed the fresh, tasty breakfast each morning. The terrace was pleasant, too. My room was spacious, with a big comfortable bed, though the pillows were softer than I personally like. The bathroom had everything I needed. It's a peaceful little oasis, and I'd gladly recommend it as a comfortable place to unwind.

We spent four nights here, and the studio worked perfectly for the four of us apart from needing air conditioning. The beach is only a five-minute walk away, with miles of sand, plenty of beach bars and lots of nearby restaurants. The fresh-water pool was a little chilly for me, but my son enjoyed a dip. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. Just take care on the narrow road to the hotel, where there are lots of dog walkers and cyclists.

We stopped here on the way from south Holland to the channel tunnel, and it was only an hour out of our way. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Oddly, there were plates in the room but no cutlery. The hotel is close to the beach and tram line. We took the tram to ostend, and there's a lovely cycle path along the beach. They also have a secure place to store bikes.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was well organised, and the room had free water, tea, coffee, soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Fresh towels came every day. It's quiet in the dunes, with a nicely decorated room, free parking for guests arriving by car, and the beach is about a ten-minute walk away. It's also right between middelkerke and westende. But a lot of things needed attention. The wooden shelf by the entrance was coming away from the wall where it was fixed with silicone. The curtains had large rips, the bathroom door was scratched and barely shut, one of the two little puppet coat hooks on the inside of that door was completely loose, and the shower doors didn't close properly. Towels were replaced daily, but the room's dust was never cleaned. The mini fridge couldn't keep our drinks cold enough, and the parking spaces were very tight. The coffee machine was the saddest part. When I tried to get hot water, a dead bug and coffee grounds came out. I don't know if the bug was already in the machine or flew in and got stuck there. For two people, three nights cost over €650, and I expected better for that price. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
