Het Zwaluwnest

A really peaceful place. We came for the wellness facilities and were welcomed warmly, with clear explanations. Our private area had a hammam, sauna, infrared sauna, and bubble bath, and we spent two restful hours there by the crackling fireplace. Coffee and water were included, while drinks and snacks were available for a fee. You can also stay overnight.

Our dogs were welcome everywhere, and the hosts were so accommodating. As horse owners, staying at this Belgian farm felt like a dream, with lovely surroundings and lots of room for our four-legged companions to run around. The apartment was cozy, modern, clean, and had everything we needed. We had a superb time and would recommend it to anyone traveling with animals who wants to enjoy nature.

Charlotte was such a thoughtful hostess. We had some family difficulties during our weekend, and she gave us the space and flexibility to sort things out. A huge thank you to her for that. She really goes out of her way to make guests feel at home, and the other hosts were super friendly too. The cottages are beautiful and have every comfort. We could move the tables so the family could sit together, and we were lucky to have lovely weather. The kids had a fantastic time with the go-carts, and the horse area is beautiful. We’ll definitely come back!

We visited last Monday and Tuesday, during the two hottest days of the year, and it was awful for us. The bedroom reached 30 degrees Celsius, and without air conditioning we barely slept. Only one upstairs window opened, so the heat couldn't get out properly. Heat was already coming into the wellness area through its large window in the morning. A canopy or sunshade could help there, and upstairs really needs air conditioning. The concept itself is nice, but hygiene was mediocre, with quite a few cobwebs and bugs. Honestly, breakfast for two also seemed expensive for what we got.
