Corbie Mol

I initially gave five stars, but then got an invoice for towels they said were missing from my room. They hadn’t been there when I arrived. They cancelled the charge quickly after I messaged, but it was still a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, a very nice stay.

This was my second time staying here, and it feels like home now. The location is perfect, and the staff are consistently kind and welcoming. Whenever I’m back in Mol, I’ll stay here again without hesitation. Thanks for making me feel so at home!

The location is excellent, just steps from the train station, a supermarket and plenty of restaurants. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice, and I slept with the balcony door open every night. I was there in summer, when it was about 16-26°C, and the room still got quite hot even with the door open. There’s no air conditioning. I also missed an electric towel rack, and the towels felt a little thin. Corbie Mol was a pleasant surprise. The website photos looked a bit dated, but the shared areas and my room were more modern than I expected, with good quality furniture. I had a ground floor room with a door straight out to a balcony. It was spacious, with a big desk that worked well for my husband and me. The bathroom was good too. Breakfast didn’t have a huge range, and a few things ran out before service ended on some days, but what was available tasted very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and it’s handy that you can rent bikes right at the hotel. Those little issues aside, I’d definitely stay again.

The staff were kind and helpful, both by email before we arrived and at reception during our two-week stay in the apartment room. But I’m giving it 2/5 because the rooms were very old and didn’t meet what I expected for the price. Some furniture is new but poorly assembled, with wardrobe doors that barely open; other pieces are very worn. Cooking was difficult with so few utensils: three sets of forks, knives and spoons, one pot, one pan with no lids, no strainer, and a double induction cooktop whose cable had to be plugged in on the other side of the sink. The only knife for cutting bread, meat or vegetables was missing its tip. There wasn’t any soap, not even the little welcome bars hotels usually provide. And we found dirty socks under the sofa when we arrived.
