Martin’s Dream Hotel

For a private wellness break as a couple without an overnight stay, Saunadelizia offers a self-contained experience focused on quiet, one-on-one relaxation. Martin’s Hotels are a different sort of option, with consistently comfortable stays and convenient locations across Belgium. Their characterful buildings, quality service, and access to city or regional highlights make them a dependable choice for a short getaway, especially if you like a mix of elegance and practicality.

The architecture is beautiful, but I wouldn’t choose this hotel for a business trip. The rooms are poorly insulated, and the staff didn’t seem to care when my neighbor arrived drunk at midnight and shouted on the phone until 1AM. Nobody did anything about it.

The rooms were immaculate and well appointed, and the price felt reasonable for the quality. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, too. The only letdown was paying with ecocheques: although the website says they accept them, two staff members couldn’t work out how to get the card reader to take the payment. That probably won’t affect most visitors. Still, highly recommended.

Breakfast was good, and the bathroom was the one part of the room that felt decent. We were on the top floor, and there was no way to close the blinds under the thunder and lightning. The rooms were the biggest problem: odd layout, hardly any space between the bed and wall, a TV almost hidden behind a pillar, and paint peeling off. Nothing about it felt four-star. Restaurant staff were young and inexperienced, though the cook was great. Parking around the hotel was difficult, and the on-site option was quite expensive.
