The building still looks unfinished, and the soundproofing is so bad that I felt like I was in a tent. It’s convenient for the city center and train station, but whether you can sleep depends on who’s next door. My neighbor was yelling and banging on the table, which made me feel unsafe, then played loud music in the morning. With no reception or shared area, I couldn’t tell who was staying nearby or whether the angry noise was a one-off or an ongoing issue. I’ve never before felt that I didn’t enjoy a stay at all. It’s affordable, but I wouldn’t recommend it to other solo travelers.

The place is dirty, and the smell hits you as soon as you walk in. The plastic laminate floors look like they’re from 1958, the toilet is tiny, and there’s dust everywhere. It clearly hasn’t been cleaned in ages, and the photos are misleading. 82 euro for such a dirty, old-fashioned place is robbery. Shame on the property management. The licence should be revoked. This is a tourist trap, and the dormitory isn’t even suitable for rats.

The sheets were very clean and the rest of the place was spotless, apart from the empty bath and shower. But the nights were awful: a couple argued all night, and we could hear people upstairs making a lot of noise when we’d come for a relaxing stay. The advertised kettle and kitchenette weren’t there, just a microwave and sandwich press. There was no light in the shower, no Wi-Fi, and the TV kept glitching. The electric heating really wasn’t great with children, especially a baby.

The location is the one good point. The bedroom itself is okay, but the sound carries so badly that you can hear almost every word from the neighbors. The communal kitchen hardly qualifies as one: it’s in poor shape and feels neglected, like the hosts gave up or stopped halfway through. The whole area has a bit of a construction site feel. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price.

For a reasonable price, you get a simple, comfortable room a short walk from the town center and shops, with a coffee maker and kettle. The coffee maker needs descaling, and someone should check the drains because there may be an odor coming from them.
