La Ferme Des Eglantines

Fresh croissants with homemade jam, and they can also make bacon and eggs or sliced ham and salami if you ask. The service was really kind. It's a very cosy, elegant farm, with wooden beams and old doors. Maybe a little too much dark colour for my taste. A lovely spot to relax.

Breakfast was generous and really delicious. The owner and staff were helpful, and the countryside around the cottage was very quiet. The rooms feel old, with a retro renovation, and the house itself was average. In January there was no hot water in the bathroom, but the owner gave me free breakfast for both days as a discount, which felt fair.

The hosts were wonderful, and the breakfast was great. It's a bit far from everything on foot, though that isn't much of an issue if you're driving. They can also give you a lift to the railway station, which was really useful.

The local yogurt at breakfast was very good, and the rest of breakfast wasn't bad either. But during my work stay, the bed was left exactly as I'd left it one night, and nobody replaced my towel. There was dust on the kettle and tea cups, and they were kept under a staircase where dirt was tracked in as people went upstairs. I wouldn't recommend it. I really hope they change how they treat guests.
