A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Anemoon" is located in Oignies-en-Thierache. This hotel is located in walking distance from the city center.

I come here often. It’s old and basic, with no luxury, but it has what you need for a stay in the woods in the Ardennes. It’s easy to get to and makes a good base for excursions. France is nearby too, about a 15-minute drive, I think.

The park is right in the forest, which made our stay feel unique, and it’s very affordable. We also enjoyed the nature and the lovely little villages nearby. Crossing into the French Ardennes was great. The towns there sit along the river Maas, with little mountains around them, and the scenery is beautiful. You’ll also find beautiful churches everywhere and striking 17th-century buildings.

Lovely area for hiking with the dog 👌🏾 The chalets are charming and good, as long as you don’t expect too much. You get what you pay for. The lady at reception was so kind, polite, and helpful. I love going there!

The countryside around this small chalet village in the woods is pretty, though the place has an Eastern European feel and sits near a road. You can’t have open fires or barbecue, which seems weird.

Booked a nice, clean, cozy room through Ardennen-online for a weekend getaway with the dog. There are great hikes nearby.
