Hotel Burlington

We had breakfast at the hotel and can highly recommend it. The location is really convenient, and the staff were friendly. Our room was quite small and basic, with a view of a wall, but at least there was no street noise. We could hear doors banging in the hallway across several floors. The shower drain was clogged too, so water ran into the bathroom.

We paid 74 for a double room without breakfast in May 2024, which felt like a good deal, especially for a last minute booking. The room was spacious and clean, everything worked, and it even had a smart TV. Wi-Fi was good.

The room is nicely furnished and the location is great. There’s no soundproofing, though, so expect to hear a neighbor’s TV and the occasional door banging in the corridor if you’re after quiet.

The buffet breakfast had a good range, and the place was spotless. The room was small and had no carpet or kettle for tea or coffee. The bathroom was spacious and good, but oddly there was no hand soap. Most of the reception staff were surly, apart from the woman who greeted us. There was a stingy feel to things, and when I asked for a cup of hot water, they wanted our room number. More functional than comfortable.
