Prado Next Door

Prado Next Door is an annex about a 3 minute walk from the main Hotel Prado. The location is great, around 5 minutes on foot from the beach and 8 minutes from the city centre, and our room was clean, spacious, and had a mini fridge, which we really appreciated. Just keep in mind that reception, the restaurant, and other services are only at the main hotel. You'll need to walk over for almost everything, which isn't convenient when you need quick help, especially with a baby. For the price I'd stay again, but I'd probably choose the main hotel next time.

The staff are very nice, but the hotel still has plenty to sort out. The room is cozy but tiny, and the TV is unusable because there are no channels and the signal is weak. There's no mirror in the room, which is a real inconvenience. Two people with luggage can barely get into the elevator. The strangest part is finding out only when you're at the door that reception is on another street. There's no information about the separate reception, so you have to carry your suitcases over there and back. Not pleasant.

We had a really good stay, with clean, comfortable, and nicely renovated rooms. The service was excellent, and the hotel is right in the centre, close to the beach. The negative reviews seem to be from the previous owner, so don't let those past comments put you off staying.

We had a modern, nicely finished room with good Wi-Fi and loads of space. The hotel is right in the city centre, making it easy to explore Ostend on foot, and the tram is very close for trips to other coastal towns.
