La Cereza

We booked a private wellness session at La Cereza at the very last minute, and it was our first time there. The hostess greeted us warmly, explained how everything worked, then left us to enjoy the space. They’d also left out some complimentary snacks, which was a nice touch. The place was clean and had almost everything you might need. Shampoo wasn’t provided, though, and that’s something you’d usually expect in a place like this. It would be a small change that could improve the experience. We were lucky enough to try the brand new outdoor jacuzzi. It was nice, but maybe something was wrong with it because it wouldn’t switch off, either when the hostess showed us or when we tried again at the end. The first dip felt a bit too hot, though we got used to it. The sauna was okay. The infrared light is a bench for warming your back and legs, rather than a room. The sunset view from the pool was amazing. The pool itself wasn’t warm enough for me, especially for this time of year in Belgium. I think it would need to be a few degrees warmer to really enjoy it. I tried getting in and seeing if I’d adjust to the temperature, but I couldn’t. The session was okay, but a few small changes could make it much better. The hostess also mentioned that the indoor jacuzzi would soon be removed and replaced by a hammam, which would be a nice addition.
