Mansion With Pool, Neblon

The extra charge for heating the pool came to an unbelievable €850 at the end of our holiday. The pool itself was freezing, and nobody cleaned it once even though we were told someone would come. We were there in July 2025, and the house was disgusting. It looks lovely in the photos, but they must be at least 20 years old. Everything was broken and filthy. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere when we arrived, the armchairs were broken, and water was leaking badly enough that we had to put buckets downstairs. At the end we saw three people arrive with three buckets to clean the place, which explained a lot. It's also not suitable for small children: the bedrooms are up stairs and a child could easily fall. Worst holiday ever. I wouldn't give it half a star.

The common areas were okay, but the kitchen was in a very sad state and really dirty. We were a group of 30. Some bedrooms have a bathroom with no door, which is awkward if someone wants to shower while another person is still sleeping or in the room. Around the pool it smelled very musty, like mold.

Mobile reception is almost nonexistent, and the WiFi is painfully slow. Its coverage around the house is poor too.

We'd definitely like to come back. The area is lovely for walking, and the heated indoor pool was clean and looked after well. The house is spacious and works well for a large group. There are drink fridges behind the bar by the windows, plus lots of fridges in the kitchen. The bedrooms and beds were clean, though don't expect too much, and you can hear through the walls between rooms.
