The area is peaceful and the gîte is lovely, with a great location. But we ran into an issue that I'm sure the owner already knew about before we arrived, and he didn't help get it sorted during our stay.

It was dirty, and the way we were treated was crude. Dishonesty and ripping off customers shouldn't be rewarded. I won't be back.

The owner was disrespectful, and seemed to charge for whatever they wanted on top of an extremely high price. The place and the service aren't worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We made good use of the lovely terrace in the afternoons and after our outings, and the cottage was a great base for rides on the quiet little roads by electric bike. There are endless routes across the high Ardennes plateaus between Lesse and Semois, through both river valleys and their picturesque tributaries. Sedan is also easy to reach via the four-lane road. Inside, everything was in good taste, from the decor and furniture to the crockery. The BBQ worked well and suited the size of the place. The cottage was perfectly equipped, well heated and spotless, and we were given a warm, friendly welcome. We had an excellent stay.
