I arrived to find the whole street torn up, full of mud, holes, and dirt. Sogni d'Oro hadn’t sent any warning or directions, even though many roads were closed and Google Maps wasn’t helping. My clothes and shoes got covered in mud before I had to go to a party. When I complained, they laughed. No apology, and not a friendly welcome. Then a water pump kept humming under my window, so I packed up and left to sleep at another hotel in the city center. It was nice, with no mud and misery, and cost less. I’d never stay at Sogni d'Oro again. It’s old and badly needs maintenance. They also asked if I wanted breakfast for 25 euros. This review isn’t about the restaurant.

Franco, the owner, is a joker 😆, and a very friendly lady took care of the super deluxe breakfast. The B&B’s location and decor are unique. Sleeping wasn’t so comfortable, though: the bed was small and very wobbly, and mosquitoes bothered us at night.

They even bought a fan specially because of the heat, which was great service. The food was really tasty, and the bar with its vineyard view is fantastic. We’ll definitely come back.
