The rooms are really roomy, and mine came with two fold-up extra beds even though it was a double. The minibar was loaded with drinks, including champagne and red, rosé, and white wine, two of each, plus lots of soft drinks. Breakfast was a whole self-service spread. Honestly, this is the best hotel of this size I’ve stayed in, and probably the best hotel of my life. Super luxurious. Highly recommended.

The Greek salad was a real standout, with chicken and shrimp making it different from the usual version. I also had a medium-rare steak that was cooked just right, which can be hard to find elsewhere. Raide and the team looked after us attentively and were accommodating throughout. The menu descriptions made choosing easy, and the central location was convenient. A delightful meal, worth four stars.

We barely slept because it was so loud. There was no room service, and breakfast was just ham, cheese, bread that looked ordinary, and a few sweets. The staff felt very hostile. Wouldn’t recommend.

The rooms are spacious and nicely put together, with a cozy feel, a large bed, and a bunk bed for kids. The hotel is in quiet Peer, close to the Netherlands border, so it works well if you’re planning to visit both Belgium and the Netherlands. There’s a restaurant in the next building that I’d recommend for dinner. We also had a fabulous time at Christmas markets in nearby places.

The hotel was good value and breakfast was delicious. The fireplace in our room didn’t work, and neither did the TV volume. The restaurant food was decent, but the prices were outrageous. I wouldn’t order the mixed meat platter: some of the steak tasted like it was left over. Very unimpressed.
