Breakfast had everything we could want and was absolutely fantastic. The owners were lovely and friendly, bringing us chilled water bottles each evening, and he went out of his way to make us comfortable. I’d definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Jean-Marie is a spontaneous, thoughtful host who helped us figure out activities and suggested places to eat. The room was great, the shower was great, and breakfast was excellent, all freshly served. We got clean towels and water bottles every day, and there was plenty of parking. Definitely recommended. He enjoys a beer, like I do, and doesn't make a fuss about it.

Breakfast was the one bright spot at Allo Allo: fresh fruit, croissants, rolls we thought had already been baked, juice, coffee or tea, yogurt, cold cuts and jam. Even so, we wouldn't book here again. We came for one night and that was enough. The place is about a 15-minute bike ride from Poperinge or a five-minute drive, and the B&B itself is certainly unusual. Jean-Marie welcomed us just before noon in the café, seeming a little tipsy, then took us through a dim hallway and gave a quick explanation of the room. It looked worn out, with mosquito and spider marks on the ceiling, cobwebs and spiders in the corners, and it wasn't particularly clean. The tap barely ran, although the shower worked; its handle was loose. Towels, shower gel and shampoo were provided. When I asked for the Wi-Fi code later that afternoon, he was very drunk and barely able to communicate. Once was enough for us, never again.
