Our friends bought a chalet here, so it wasn’t really a camping experience for us. Still, it’s a marvelous place to be.

The place itself felt depressing, with everything crammed together, and it was full of mosquitoes. My experience with the refund was just as frustrating. At check-in, they wanted payment immediately, including €50 for the electronic key card and €25 for the toilets and showers. I explained that we were in our campervan and had our own toilet and shower, and they very reluctantly removed the €25 charge. Four weeks later, I was still trying to get my €50 deposit back. I wrote my name and card number on the envelope as instructed, but nothing happened. When I called, they said they couldn’t refund to a card. I’ve run two businesses over 40 years and never had trouble processing a card refund. They asked for an IBAN instead. I emailed it to the address they gave me, but the message bounced back. I asked them to confirm the address, tried again, and that time the email didn’t bounce. A week later, when I followed up, they claimed they hadn’t received it. Today, in desperation, I called again and asked them to email me so I could reply. I did that, then called once more, and they confirmed they now had my IBAN. I asked how long the refund would take, and they said two weeks. They wanted the money instantly when I checked in, but when it was time to return it, there was one excuse after another. Really bad practice.

There’s a cafe with a toilet you can use, and there’s plenty of parking. Shops and supermarkets are nearby. A good place to stay with kids and family.
