The forests nearby are beautiful for hiking, and the location was perfect for that. We stayed in a cosy cottage and had a friendly host.

Think carefully before booking L'ESCALE GOURMANDE HATRIVAL. After we left an average review because we felt it was an average place, the owner refused to return our damage deposit. She claimed damages that we say she invented. BEWARE, it isn't all as it seems.

Cécile was a lovely, attentive hostess who thought through every detail. There was a welcome note and little gifts, our name at the entrance, plus a folder with local information, brochures, maps, and activity ideas. The cottage was cosy, clean, fully equipped, and just as shown in the website photos. It's also well placed for walks in nature and for exploring the region and its food. We had a relaxing, enriching stay and could really switch off. Highly recommend.
