Relax Hotel Restaurant Pip Margraff

We stayed overnight at this hidden gem in the little town of St. Vinth Belgium 🇧🇪. The set menu was beautifully prepared, and there’s a wellness spa too. A lovely way to relax while traveling.

The place was very clean, the facilities were good, and overall we had a good experience. But at dinner I had two broken glasses, one already on the table for water and another served with my beer. Neither the waitress nor the receptionist said anything when we left, not even an apology or some small gesture to make up for it. A good hotel or restaurant should notice details like that, and if they miss them, they should still put things right. At breakfast, everyone else got a “good morning” and was asked if they wanted coffee. My partner and I were the only ones left out. For a hotel and restaurant aiming for good service, that felt unacceptable. We paid €340 for a clean, pleasant environment, but the manners weren’t there. When they asked if everything was okay, it felt completely mechanical, like they only cared about getting paid.

It’s a very quiet place, ideal for relaxing and relieving stress. The spa had enough to help us unwind, and we really enjoyed the pool. There’s parking beside the hotel, though it’s time-limited; unlimited parking is only a few minutes’ walk away. The breakfast was absolutely subliminal, and the staff were kind and made an effort to speak Dutch with us. They also speak English, German, and French. We enjoyed our stay and the facilities, and I’d definitely recommend it.

After two full days of hiking, we had an amazing night here. The new luxury spa is awesome, the food is very good, and the place is clean with all the details in place. What a great hotel. We’ll be back!
