Hotel In't Boldershof

A friend invited us to dinner, and it turned out to be a great choice. The food and wine were good, and the owner was lovely company. We had a really great experience, with an amazing host. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the real Belgian way of dining.

The room was very clean, and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was delicious, mostly homemade, and served with great service. We stayed for one night while attending a friend's wedding nearby, and enjoyed the hotel's ambience and surroundings. I'd definitely recommend this brasserie hotel.

We only stayed one night, but it was an awesome place with great food and rooms. The two women serving dinner and breakfast were especially kind and helpful. We'd like to come back.

Breakfast had to be chosen the evening before, and everything was delicious: homemade yogurt, perfect croissants and real coffee. We also had the patron's recommendation for dinner, a delicious stew, nicely arranged on the plate with plenty of extra servings in a cast iron Le Creusot pot. The handcut fries were the best we'd had in Belgium, and some of us tried the genever as a digestive and thought it was marvelous. The atmosphere was splendid, with a woodfire burning in the dining room, and everyone seemed to have a great evening. The bar felt like a local gathering point, which we always take as a good sign. The patron and staff were excellent. You hardly find a waiter these days who keeps an eye out for what guests need, but here a wink brought extra servings in no time. We'd been recommended this place by our hotel in Bruges after visiting Gent. It's an authentic rural stay in a picturesque setting across a churchyard. The building is ancient but well maintained, and the owners gave us a hearty welcome. Be ready to be the target of some charming teasing. The rooms are rustic but nice. Very recommendable, and worth the money spent.
