Hotel Dufays

I hardly ever sleep well in hotels, but here I slept like a baby. The room was so comfortable, and I had a fantastic one on the first floor, with an extra-large bathroom full of souvenirs and very stylishly done. The owners are genuinely nice people. Breakfast was delicious, with quality food and drinks and good coffee. The owners prepared and presented it themselves, and you could tell they put in a lot of effort. A great overnight stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. Highly recommended!

We booked at the last minute with no real plan and ended up falling in love with this beautiful villa hotel. Its vintage charm comes with a lovely backyard garden looking out over the stunning hills and valleys. Our double room had a spacious balcony and a bathroom almost as big as the room. It’s right in the town center, near the bus stop, with lots of restaurants an easy walk away. The complimentary breakfast was nicely served in a lovely spot overlooking the backyards. The host and his dog were both charming and very helpful. Absolutely recommended.

We stayed in the Africa room, and earlier in the India room. Both times the rooms were beautiful, the welcome friendly, and breakfast excellent. One tip: choose a room at the back of the hotel, since cars driving over the street cobbles make quite a bit of noise. Don’t forget to visit the Abbey museum. Excellent place.

We had a lovely time at the Dufays. The place is charming, the staff are very friendly, and the large rooms are quiet, clean, and nicely decorated in different themes. It’s a real gem. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh products, juice, and wonderful fried eggs. Dogs are welcome, too. We’d love to come back.
