The family activities outside were a hit. The kids loved tubing down the hill, and the big maze kept all of us searching for its towers and exit for over an hour and a half. Watch out for a few broken stairs.
The view is lovely, but I'd skip the restaurant unless you've got lots of time. We waited 30 minutes just to get drinks, then nearly an hour and a half for food. The Luikse Balletjes were barely warm, and the burger came out almost rare, unless it was meant to be steak tartare 😅. Not worth the visit.
I arrived with no expectations and left smiling. The blue beginner slope is very short, though it's wide, and there are crowds and long waits for pretty much everything. Still, it's close by, has a nice feel, and saves you from spending a whole day driving each way. My two-year-old loved sledging. You can rent a sled there or bring your own.
Pull over along the road and take a moment to look out across the valley. It's a nice spot for taking in the sights of the Ardennes.
The skiing is fun, and the region around it is beautiful, with charming little villages. Lunch was another story: the restaurant was packed and finding a seat was nearly impossible. I'd get there early.
