Blanckthys Hotel

The hotel is a charming little gem, beautifully restored and updated, with clean, tidy rooms that are spacious enough and thoughtfully detailed. The area is great for cycling, and the hotel caters to cyclists. We had a lovely dinner at a very reasonable price, and the charming young staff provided great service. A delightful experience all round.

The courtyard is really nice and the place looks great from outside. Inside, the rooms feel very old, and the soundproofing is awful. I could hear the whole conversation from the film next door until 1PM. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

This modern hotel blends into the traditional buildings of a quaint country village, making it a real hidden gem. The rooms are spotless, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The casual restaurant serves superb food and a selection of local beers. Breakfast is great too, with Belgian waffles.

The restaurant was excellent, and service at breakfast was okay, though the breakfast itself was disappointing for both quality and choice. The hotel has two charging wall boxes, one for Tesla vehicles and one for other electric cars. We thought the price seemed fair for a three-star hotel, but as dog owners we were given the worst room. After a lot of discussion, the owner let us move to a comfort room in the basement. It badly needed renovation, as you can see in the ceiling photo, and mold was spreading in the bathroom. We won’t be back.
