Getting help was difficult because the staff spoke only French, with no English, German, or Dutch, and they left us to deal with the problems. The hotel Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the hallways and sitting area looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time. Our room and bathroom smelled like a sewer. There were dirty marks on the toilet door and brown fingerprints all over the light switches, and the shower water wouldn’t drain. The windows were either fully open or shut, and since our room was on the ground floor, anyone outside could step straight in. A terrible experience.

We stayed in one of the huts behind the hotel. It was good and very picturesque, but the single beds were uneven, so check their condition before accepting the hut.

We liked the comfortable traditional hotel and its lovely terrace overlooking the stream. It’s in a good location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We’ll come back!

A cosy spot surrounded by nature, with friendly staff. It’s a good escape from the busy cities, and other small villages are just a 2-20 minute drive away.
