The owners’ hospitality is what stands out most. They’re incredibly flexible and willing to do anything to help. Whether it’s a rescue in the forest or a critical spaghetti shortage, Francesco comes to the rescue with a smile. This was our second stay with our large family in the former customs office, now a holiday home, and it won’t be our last. It’s comfortable, with excellent rooms and bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely garden with wooden benches and a covered area. Alle-sur-Semois is a great base for walks along the Semois, visits to Bouillon or Sedan, and trips to the many castles in the Ardennes. The owners speak Dutch and are also perfectly at ease in French and, we believe, Italian.
