What a great find. We needed a place to stay and landed on this gem, with lovely people and amazing food. We only got to eat there twice, but both meals were memorable: the burger was amazing, and the schnitzel was just as good. The desserts were on the same level. Please don’t let too many people discover it, I’d love to come back.

I grabbed a takeaway burger during lockdown and it was delicious. They also had local things for sale out front, including vegetables, charcuterie, meat and cheese. There were a few ready-made meals and soup of the day, plus burgers made to order and twice-cooked fries. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re passing through.

We had such a lovely first visit to Au Cheval Blanc. The cosy room has a bit of a hipster feel, and our waiter was both friendly and capable. The food was unbelievable: Belgian shrimp cromesquis, foie gras, trout from Ondenval prepared in three ways, duck rillettes, lamb shank and beef picanha, with wine. Dessert was the best we’d ever tasted, Lu’s divine treats had us feeling like we were floating in heaven. Thanks for taking us on that little trip to the sky! Colette and Olivier.

I went with friends before the Corona crisis and came away disappointed. There were only three vegetarian dishes on the menu, and they were very expensive for what you got.

The staff were attentive, enthusiastic and funny, and the service was absolutely fantastic. Good local food, great wine and beer, and definitely worth the price.
