Everything was great!

We weren’t told clearly that the property has two holiday homes. The house is large, but at this price I wouldn’t call it luxurious, and I wouldn’t recommend it. There are four double rooms and just two bathrooms, one of them private to a room, so six guests share one shower. Every room is up a tricky spiral staircase. They get hot quickly, with no air conditioning, and opening the unscreened windows brings in mosquitoes from the pond next door. Communication with the owner was almost nonexistent, and we never met in person. After our stay, extra charges were added for utilities and rubbish, with no meter readings or other proof provided.

The view is fantastic, and the castle and dam are very close by. Inside, the house is modern, spacious and well looked after, with plenty of comforts, including three bathtubs, a separate bathroom and a sauna. There are a lot of solar panels on the property, so that’s something you have to be okay with in the 21st century. A beautiful place to stay.

It was fine, but make sure to bring your own towels and bedding.

Quiet, bucolic surroundings and a superb place to stay.
