A quiet, refined place with a welcoming feel. Burgemeestershof has a lovely mix of elegance and comfort, especially if you’re a couple looking to slow down away from the city. If you’re after a private wellness session for a set amount of time instead of a night away, Saunadelizia is another kind of option. It really depends on the experience you’re looking for.

The breakfast was my favorite part, since I got to try it. There was plenty of choice, everything was fresh, and a lot came from local producers. It could easily hold its own against any hotel breakfast. The rooms were spacious, modern, nicely furnished, and the mattress was very comfortable. We didn’t use the spa, but from what I could see it looked inviting, spotless, and had outdoor space to relax in summer, I guess. I booked it for my mom’s visit because we needed somewhere dog friendly and wheelchair accessible, within a short drive of Gent and at a price that wasn’t eye watering. It worked out really well. The area isn’t somewhere you’d necessarily pick for a holiday, with little to do beyond walking and enjoying the quiet. The hosts are a lovely couple, very friendly and attentive without hovering, and they did their best to accommodate every wish. I’d absolutely book it for my mom again. :)

Traveling with our dog, we felt right at home here. The B&B was cozy, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend it!

Dimitry and his family made us feel so welcome and really went out of their way for us. We were here for a competition in Oordegom, and getting around on local buses was easy. The food was amazing too, and you have to visit the gin bar!

The food is really excellent. This is a perfect spot for a team meeting or another event.
